We have nothing but positively glowing things to say about our experience working with ACT Pools. Every part of the process was exceptional, and we have no hesitation recommending them.  

We initially made an online enquiry with ACT Pools and were contacted right away to book in a site inspection with Tom Jones. (Some other pool companies we enquired with took weeks to respond, or simply never got back to us at all.)

 We were working with a few limitations in our yard - easements, a sloped block, an existing deck and skewed fence line. It was never going to be as simple as digging a hole and dropping in a pool! Tom assured us this was no problem with any of this. He came up with the idea of building an engineered wall against the easement and surrounding the pool with walls/slab. This solution allowed us to place the pool exactly where we wanted, meet all planning/approval requirements and yet still achieve the look we wanted. Not only was Tom’s design something that no other pool company had suggested, it also meant the entire project could be completed at significantly less cost than the quotes we’d already received

Once it was time to start digging, we felt like we were in expert hands with Tom (this time Tom Hickey). Due to the complexity of the project, there were always lots of tradespeople in our yard – concreters, landscapers, crane operators, plumbers, electricians etc. Tom managed the work schedule so that no-one was in each other’s way, but everything could be completed as quickly as possible. All trades turned up on time, worked solid days, and were courteous and respectful of the fact this was our back yard. It wasn’t just about cleaning up at the end of the day though, it was the little things that impressed us - like Tom ensuring our hedge didn’t get too damaged from the digger’s exhaust as it went up and back our yard for example.  

Pool delivery day was next level, and to be honest, the day we really saw how great Tom is at his job. The shell arrived on a truck that blocked the street, the crane and crew appeared, and somehow this thing was lifted over our double story house and perfectly positioned into place with ease. The height of the pool needed to be exactly level with our existing deck, so it was critical the base layer was the perfect height for the pool to sit on. But Tom was in the zone this day, so he made it look easy! Everything ran on time, according to schedule and was managed with care. Our pool was positioned into place with absolute precision, with our family watching on with excitement.

As for the approval side of things, you always hear horror stories of pools being installed but not being up to code and not getting approved at the final step. You don’t need to worry about this with ACT Pools! The team handled the entire approval process from start to finish with ease and efficiency. At the final inspection, the pool inspector actually commented on how great ACT Pools seem to be in this area – adding that from what he sees, many other pool companies never follow up with their clients or even seem to care if the pool is signed off. The team from ACT Pools were in constant communication about this the entire way, answered our questions super quickly and were always on the ball with this.

Having a pool installed in your home is a big decision, so you need to ensure you have the right team to help you with this. It’s something we spent a lot of time researching because we wanted to ensure the investment was worth the end result. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with ACT Pools because they were exceptional from start to finish. Our new pool ACT Pools has changed the way our family enjoy summers and for us, it’s been well worth the investment. Our kids love it; we love it; the dog however, is not yet convinced – ha!

ACT Pools recently installed our fiberglass pool, and their workmanship is top-notch. Our site provided some difficulties with access, however the excavation and installation were handled with extreme care and we couldn't be happier with our finished product.

We had a great experience with ACT Pools, who managed the installation of our new Plungie Max pool. We received quotes from other pool companies, but from the outset our engagement with ACT Pools was easy and straightforward, with all costs clearly outlined upfront.

We highly recommend ACT Pools if you are looking to install a pool in the region. We got a number of quotes (as you would with an investment like this) and easily settled on ACT Pools due to their whole attitude and willingness to sit down, explain options and provide suggestions without any pressure or expectations. 

Right from the get-go they were timely, responsive and ever ready and willing to answer any questions we had, talk us through when we were struggling to decide on different options and provided an overall great experience. 

From Bree in the office to the two Toms and the whole installation crew they did an absolutely great job with ours plus they have excellent relationships with top local landscapers and fencers so things just rolled along smoothly.

Once we signed on the dotted line, (and apart from the usual/expected ACT Government interference and delays) everything happened according to the timeline and with minimal fuss and disruption. They even liaised directly with the landscaper and fencer so there were no gaps in delivery and everything just ... flowed.

ACT pools were exceptional in installing our inground fibreglass pool. Living in rural NSW (Jindabyne), we expect service times to be slow and often less good than one would get in the city. Not so with ACT Pools! Tom was at our place within a week of receiving our request for a quote - it's a four hour round trip and we were the only customers out this way. He was super friendly and relaxed, and made us feel as though the job would be effortless for us.

Our timeline was for the pool to be in by October for our daughter's birthday - Tom promised to meet this timeline then exceeded our expectations by having the pool fully installed by August. The day of installation went incredibly well, the digger broke ground at 8am and the pool shell was in and backfilled by 3pm. Amazing! My friends who were spending the day here couldn't believe it. 

We had a third party install a retractable pool shelter and Tom was instrumental in assisting us to ensure this was all done correctly in line with the pool installation, a job that would have been very difficult for us and for which he did not charge any extra. 

Since the pool has been in ACT Pools have been amazing in assisting us whenever we have had a query or a problem. This includes providing chemicals for us - sometimes coming in on weekends to deliver these to us when we have made a trip to Canberra. Tom is always on the end of the phone and cheerfully offers free advice any time we need it. 

We have already recommended ACT Pools to a friend and will continue to do so whenever we can.
